Race Results

Our team had a great race this morning at Westerville North Classic. Our girls places 9th out of 19 teams, while our boys placed 6th out of 21 teams. We will post our team's individual results early in this coming week. However, you can follow the below links to see the overall race results (results are posted by child's name and race number).

Help Needed

Beginning with our home meet this Tuesday, we will need the help of parent volunteers to monitor trail traffic, record times, pass out place cards and more. This season we are using a website called "Sign Up Genius" to help us organize the volunteers we will need for each meet. Please click HERE to sign up to help!

This Week's Schedule

Monday, September 1st : No Practice - LABOR DAY

Tuesday, September 2nd : Meet at TWHS (Race Time - 5:00pm)

Student Info : Students will take the bus from their home school (Phoenix students will take bus from Worthingway) to TWHS. All students will need to be picked up from TWHS at the conclusion of the meet.

Parent Info : There is no admission fee for dual meet events.
*Address/Directions : All home meets are run on the Flats at TWHS.

Wednesday, September 3rd : Practice at Worthingway Middle School (4:15pm to 5:30pm). We will be taking pictures during practice (rescheduled from last week's rain out). Please be sure your athlete brings his/her uniform to school.

Thursday, September 4th : Practice at Worthingway Middle School (4:15pm to 5:30pm).

Friday, September 5th : No Practice

Saturday, September 6th : Watkins Invitational Meet at Watkins Memorial High School (Race Time - 9:00am)

Student Info : Bus pick up from Worthingway Middle School at 7:15am, please arrive by 7:00am, as the bus will leave at 7:15am.  Parent's may take their students home following the meet if they text Coach Keyes (614-205-774) or Coach Jen (614-209-9979) with their name and the name of the athlete they are taking, or write a note with the same information. Buses will return to Worthingway. If your child is riding the bus, they or the coach will contact you when we are 10-15 minutes away from pick up location.

Parent Info : Admission - Not sure of cost, but please be prepared to pay. We will update you if we find out the price for parking/admission.

*Directions : I-270 east to Rt 16 exit (Broad St). East on Rt 16 through Pataskala about 3 miles to Township Rd 42 (Watkins Rd). Right on 42. School is about 3 miles on right.

Weekend Race Update (8/31/13)

1) Reminder there is NO PRACTICE, tomorrow - Friday, August 30th.

2) The bus will be LEAVING Worthingway Middle School on Saturday morning at 6:45am. Please make sure your child is there by 6:35am at the latest. We will need to check everyone in and leave for Westerville North as promptly as possible. 

3) Parent Info for Saturday's Race : 

-Race Time : As per the current schedule, the girls will race promptly at 8:00am and the boys race will follow. 

-Admission : $5.00 for parking, they will charge $10.00 for carload. 

-Address : 950 County Line Road, Westerville-43081

-Directions : 1-270 east to Rt. 161 east. North on Sunbury to Smothers Rd. Turn left on Smothers. School is on the right. 

-Transportation : You make take your child home from the race. If your child is riding the bus home, they can be picked up at Worthingway Middle School.

Other Notes

*Uniforms were handed during practice on Thursday and Friday. If your child was not there, please make sure they see Coach Jen or Coach Keyes at practice on Monday. We are also hoping our order from Fleet Feet will be in on Monday and we will distribute shorts as well.

*We will be taking team pictures on Wednesday at practice. Please be sure your child brings their uniform (singlet and shorts) to practice that day.

Practice Transportation :
Students coming from Kilbourne Middle School will take BUS #25 to Worthingway Middle School. Students coming from Phoenix Middle School will take BUS #78 to Worthingway Middle School. All students will need to be picked up from Worthingway Middle School at 5:30pm.

UNIFORM/SPIRIT WEAR UPDATE : 
Spirit Wear and Uniform Short orders are due this Monday, August 19th at practice. We were just informed by Fleet Feet that they have a new short supplier, which provides smaller sizes (youth sizes). If you would like to adjust your size and have already turned in your order form, please email us and let us know. You can download the order form here.

Schedule Update (8/14/13)

Here are few updates to this week's schedule : 

TONIGHT - Wednesday (8/14) : Parent Meeting @ KMS at 7:30pm (Only for parents who did not attend the ATOD meeting in May)

Thursday (8/15) : Highbank Park Practice (6:30pm to 8:00pm). Turn into the first parking on the right, after you end the main park entrance. The Nature Center is located off this parking lot. 

Friday (8/16) : UPDATE - Please arrive at 6:30pm (Race Time is 7:05pm). We will be gathering as group down on the Flats by the bleachers where we usually meet for practice. The race should be over by 7:45pm at the latest. Make sure you have registered your athlete ONLINE for this race. No special uniform or attire is required for this race.

Monday (8/19) : Practice at 4:15pm at Worthingway Middle School Track. Also, Spirit Wear Forms are due with payment. ALL athletes must order a pair of shorts, if they do not have a pair from last cross country season or track season. I have attached a Spirit Wear Form, in case you were not able to get it off the website.

Pre-Season Race - Next Friday!

Below is a link to register your student athlete for next Friday's free pre-season race at Thomas Worthington High School.  This race is on our practice schedule and will be what we are doing for practice on that Friday.

As a note, you will not need to do anything with online registration for our regular season races and meets.

It will only be cancelled if there is lightening in the area.
